1- Nice Abs don't necessarily mean strong abs
For the most part, it is an indication that you have less body fat in that part of your anatomy.
Truth is, you could already have some nice abs but they won't reveal themselves until your body fat percentage is lowered.

Lower body exercises such as squats, lunges, box jumps, dead lifts and other compound exercises such as pull ups, and bench pressing are good for strengthening and revealing your core muscles nicely. The reasons is that, the nature of those type of exercises promotes multiple muscle groups activation. That leads to a greater calorific expenditure, testosterone release and fat burn.
