15 Tips for Healthy Eating Habits




  • 1- Balance food intake with physical activity to maintain a healthy weight

  • 2- Eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods

  • 3 - Eat a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, and whole-grain and high-fiber foods

  • 4 - Choose a diet moderate in total fat but low in saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol

  • 7 - Limit cholesterol intake to 300 mg or less per day

  • 10 -Cut back on soft drinks and foods with added sugar

  • 11- Attempt to cut processed or added sugars to 10% or less of total energy intake

  • 12 - Keep salt and sodium intake conservative

  • 13 - Practice food hygiene and safety

  • 14 - Avoid excessive intake of food additives and nutrition supplements

  • 15 - Drink alcohol in moderation
